Character Name: Logan
Codename: Wolverine
Approximate Age:350
Hair Colour:brown
Eye Colour:hazel
Gender:male
Powers: Wolverine is a mutant who possesses the ability to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human. The speed at which this healing factor works varies in direct proportion with the severity of the damage Wolverine suffers. For example, he can fully recover from an ordinary gunshot wound in a non-vital area of his body within minutes.
Wolverine’s natural healing also affords him virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases. For example, it is nearly impossible for him to become intoxicated from drinking alcohol. He also has a limited immunity to the fatigue poisons generated by bodily activity, and hence he has greater endurance than an ordinary human. His agility and reflexes are similarly enhanced.
In addition, Wolverine’s healing factor provides him with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process. Although over a century old, Wolverine is as healthy and physically fit as a man in his prime.
Wolverine also possesses superhumanly acute senses, making him capable of seeing things at a maximum distance greater than a normal human’s. His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, and he is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if that person or object is hidden. Wolverine can use these enhanced senses to track any creature with an impressive degree of success.
Wolverine’s skeleton includes six retractable one-foot long bone claws, three in each arm, that are housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms. Wolverine can, at will, release these slightly curved claws through his skin beneath the knuckles on each hand. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but the blood loss is quickly halted by his healing factor.
Wolverine can unsheathe any number of his claws at once, although he must keep his wrists straight at the moment his claws shoot from his forearms into his hands. When unsheathed, the claws are fully within his hands, and thus Wolverine can still bend his wrists. The claws are naturally sharp and tougher than that of normal human bone structure, allowing Wolverine to cut through most types of flesh and natural materials.
Despite the extent of his healing factor, Wolverine is not immortal. If the injuries are extensive enough, especially if they result in the loss of vital organs, large amounts of blood, and/or loss of physical form, such as having flesh burned away by fire or acid, Wolverine can die.
Special Attributes/Skills: Due to his extensive training as a soldier, a C.I.A. operative, a samurai, a spy, and a member of the X-Men, Wolverine is an exceptional hand-to-hand combatant, having mastered virtually every fighting style on Earth. He is also a trained expert in multiple types of weapons, vehicles, computer systems, explosives, and assassination techniques. Wolverine is fluent in many languages, including Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Cheyenne, Lakota, and Spanish; he has some knowledge of French, Thai, and Vietnamese.
History: James Howlett, now known as Logan was born in Alberta, Canada in the late 19th century. He suffered the loss of his friend and when he was in WWII, he guised himself as the name of Logan. Afterwards, he was experimented on in a group called Weapon-X. He went under the adamantium process and escaped with his memories brutally damaged.
X-Men:
Logan was in the cage-fighting 'business' and met a young southern belle named, Marie D'Ancanto, but only knows her by the name of 'Rogue'. When wining a fight, a man by the name of Ted, wanted his money back. Logan was gruff on the situation, and left after the owner pushed him out. He left, but soon learned there was a stowaway.
On the way, his truck caught fire. He tried to help Rogue out of the car, but Sabretooth attacked. Two members from the X-Men, Ororo Munroe (storm), and Scott Summers (Cyclops) rescued Rogue and Logan.
Logan woke up in the Med-Lab of the X-Mansion and Charles Xavier simply toured him through the mansion, and meeting the others. Logan was then told that a powerful mutant, by the name of Magneto, wanted him. Logan tried to protect Rogue with all his might, and actually did a pretty damn good job. Turned out, Magneto wanted Marie.
X2: United
Logan learns his past, in a 'somewhat' kind of way. He re-meets William Stryker, and learns what had happened to him through flashbacks and conversing with the said mad scientist. Still protecting Rogue and the other young students, the X-Men strive to survive. William's evil plan was to create his own version of Cerebro, but the X-Men continue to fight. Logan and the X-Team begin to leave, when he loses his one true love. Dr. Jean Grey.
X-Men: The Last Stand
The Year Of The Cure.
Warren Worthington finds a 'cure' for mutants from a little boy named Jimmy, aka Leech.
They give the 'cure' to all mutants who are voluntary to it. Unfortunately, they put the 'voluntary' cure into a gun.
Now, everyone struggles to try and survive the dangers of life. Magneto, the cure, and the Phoenix. What's the world coming to?
Alas! Dr. Jean survives the drastic possibility of death! Charles Xavier tells Ororo and Logan to go to Alkali Lake when Ororo discovers Jean lying on large rocks with her X-Men uniform still on. Her red hair was rather long as well.
Taking Jean to the Med-Lab and having Xavier explain everything, Logan learns what his 'Jeannie' was really capable of. And what Xavier was capable of as well. Hating what Charles had to do with Jean's mind, Logan stormed off.
When Logan returns, he almost succeeds in making love (or just having lustful sex) with the beautiful Doctor, when he personally meets the Phoenix herself. He was then slammed into the wall, and Phoenix (or Jean Grey) then escaped.
Trying to get Jean back from her hometown house, Ororo, Xavier, and Logan all go to her house. The Brotherhood too invite themselves. A drastic fight occurs inside the home, while Jean loses control and unleashes the Phoenix once again, causing a drastic death of Charles Xavier.
Eric Lehnsherr takes Jean for himself and creates an army of his own. The X-Men have a memorial of Xavier and take a strong stand to fight Magneto and the government's cure.
Sample RP: Logan watched the students (mainly the youngsters) while they walked together in groups toward the Manor. He sighed heavily and tried to keep them all in order, now that Scott, Jean and Xavier were all gone.
Even though you couldn't physically see it, Logan's eyes ached, itched and burned throughout the day while he was awake. He hadn't been able to sleep and when he did, Logan only wished to stay awake, due to the fact of the incident he had with Jean in the Battle of Alcatraz.
'Save Me' Were Jean's last words before Logan confessed his love for her.
Almost every night, Logan shot up, finding himself covered in sweat and screaming out either no! or Jean!.
"Professor," a young student called out and gently placed her hand upon Logan's forearm to grasp his attention. "Are you okay?"
Logan looked down at the young girl and smirked slightly, giving her a small nod in response. But deep down inside...he wasn't fine. He wasn't okay. The cure has just blown away but he had a strong feeling that it wasn't over. Marie had come home, and he had to admit, it made him feel a little better. He wanted her to be happy, and yet stay with the team.
Her mutation has grown back, which meant she needed to train once more in the Danger Room. Bobby and her had separated not long ago, and honestly, Logan had to admit he thought it was better for her. To him, Marie was making all the wrong decisions for 'some boy'.
Logan took a long swig of his beer and cleared his throat. He pulled the bottle up to his lips to take another swig, but was stopped when a gentle hand touched his bare shoulder. “Hey kid,” he grumbled softly but didn’t make eye contact. He then took another swig and exhaled deeply with satisfaction.
“Logan, I’m afraid,” the voice whispered out to him. Logan furrowed his eyebrows slightly and turned to the voice. “…for you.”
Sighing heavily and slight annoyance, Logan closed his eyes for only a split moment before opening them. “Why for, 'Ro?” he asked with a small shrug. “I’m fine—“
“No, you’re not.” Ororo called out firmly. “Not a year ago, you just killed—“
“—Stop it—“
“—the love of your life, Logan,” Ororo explained over Logan’s firm demand for her to stop. “And you’re going to stand here and tell me that you’re fine?” she asked as a small tear built up in her eye. “You’re not fine Logan.”
“Just stop it!” Logan yelled causing Ororo to jump slightly. “…just…stop,” he whispered, his bottom lip quivering slightly. “I’m sorry,” he whispered.
