Clothes were flicking here there and everywhere. Clothes being ripped off coathangers, then tried on, and given back to the salesperson to place back on the rack. "I can never really seem to find the right clothing to match how I'm feeling" said Jean, who was zipping up a pair of jeans, only to find that they didn't fit.
Once again handing it back to the salesperson, Jean uttered a sully sincere "Sorry" before exiting the store. A deep growl eminated from her stomach. "I think it may be time to get some food" she said quietly, heading towards the food court. "I could go for some sushi today" she said, looking for the very small sushi booth surrounded by the many fast food outlets.

Lorna crouched on top of a marble pedestal, watching her prey intensely. A sadistic smirk played at her lips as she watched Jean walk towards the sushi cart, unknowing that she was about to engage in a fight.
With a flick of her wrist, Lorna sent the cart flying towards Jean, not worrying about the people she hit in it's way. As she threw the cart, she jumped from the pedestal, landing on the ground with a soft thud, still on her feet. "Afternoon, Jean." Her eyes were glowing as she charged her hands with electromagnetic energy, readying herself for a concussion blast. She knew her father wanted this particular telepath/telekine out of the way so that he could continue his expansion of the Brotherhood. Now, during his absence, she lead his band of rebels, and would carry out his will. After all, like father, like daughter.

Jean was just about to the sushi cart when it flung towards her. She quickly dodged out of the way, but was hit on her foot by part of the cart. This was definitely the work of someone from the Brotherhood, but Magneto was too important to do this himself.
"Afternoon, Jean" came the familiar sound of the voice of Lorna Dane, one of Magneto's 'Brotherhood children', and a magnetokinetic herself, just like Magneto. The cart kept on a rolling rampage and was flying through the air towards a young man, who was quick enough to dodge the cart without injury, unlike Jean was.
"What do you want Lorna? Can't you tell where NOT to attack someone... It's just courtesy" Jean said, mocking her slightly.

Lorna laughed at Jean's words, rolling her eyes at her. "Courtesy? Perhaps you should learn not to go out in public and put these innocents that you so feebly attempt to protect in danger." She stayed where she was, waiting for Jean to get to her feet. She decided she would do the noble thing and let her opponent get to her feet before she tore her apart. After all, Jean wanted courtesy.

"Excuse me, but I do believe that one can go wherever he or she likes" Jean said, pitying Lorna for putting the blame on her for the innocents in danger. "After all, you are the one that did attack first" Jean said, hurling a nearby wooden chair at Polaris, followed by three metal balls that were sitting in the window of a nearby shop.
~I mean you are evil after all~ Jean telepathically sent to Lorna, ~Therefore, you would attack first, ask questions later~. Jean now readied herself as she remembered that she accidentally hurled metal balls at Polaris. 'Bad mistake, very very bad mistake', Jean said to herself.

Lorna blasted the wooden chair with a concussion blast she had been charging, shards splattering against her dark clothing. She was angry that Jean had gone inside her mind. Jean knew, better than most, that when it came to reading minds, Lorna didn't let anyone take a crack at hers.
When the metal balls came flying at her, she could only laugh. "Jean, really? I thought you would be smarter than to throw these at me."
Lorna stopped all three balls, setting them on the ground around her, creating a triangle. She took the first one with her powers, pulled it back and glanced at Jean. "Boom." As the words left her lips, she sent the metal ball flying towards the mutant, as if it were shot from a cannon.
She proceeded to do the same with the last two balls, smiling sinisterly at her work.

"Merely a distraction" Jean faked. Jean used her powers to create a forcefield around herself that would defend her against the ball. The forcefield glowed a faint pink, that just showed the outline of it. The first metal ball shot straight through the forcefield, but thankfully missed Jean. She started to get angry. Jean lifted her hands, and the entire food court lifted off the ground.
Ever since Alcatraz, Jean had managed to control a limited portion of the Phoenix's powers boosts, unfortunately, she wasn't able to control this for a long period of time. Jean flung her hands forward towards Polaris, and all the airborne materials flew themselves at her.

Lorna went to one knee, crossing her arms in front of her, creating a force field of her own. While it protected her from the smaller shard of the floating objects, the larger ones seemed to 'dent' her force field, obviously hurting her as well.
She reached out with one hand, continuing to maintain the force field. Lorna attempted to manipulate the iron in Jean's blood, something her father had taught her to do. Just in case it didn't work, she charged one of her hands for a powerful electromagneitc concussion blast, one that would most definitely be hard for Jean to avoid.
