~Characer Information~
Personality: To get right to the point, Emma is a b!tch at times. Most people would dismiss Emma as being a 'cold-hearted cow'. She has more facets than that, she will say, but she gets tagged as a cow because of a number of reasons that the word alone can't describe or do justice to. First of all, she's proud. She holds herself high with dignity and a rigid set of guidelines and expectations. Perhaps unfairly, she applies these stringent expectations to others as well and, more often than not, finds the targets lacking in some manner or other. She's a highly critical individual, but doesn't spare herself from her strict criticism at the same time.
Second, she's intelligent. She recognizes that charm without wit and aptitude quickly turns even the most pretty face into dull and boring company. Her intelligence manifests primarily in 'business smarts' - she has honed her ability to calculate the risks and minimize them to her satisfaction. This sort of intelligence may make her seem cold: she accepts that and shrugs it off. She considers her mode of thought to be survivalist, and she certainly intends to survive any 'fix' she gets herself into.
Third, she's sexual. Hardly a 'trollop', Emma still occasionally relies on playing up to a man's libido to get her way, particularly when his behavior establishes that this is the easiest route for her to go about getting what she wants. More often, she will use her sexuality to intimidate, to throw people off-guard. However flirtation often leads to nowhere and means nothing.
Fourth, she's competitive. Emma sees most people around her as being competitors, which may or may not be a healthy view. Her drive is what got her where she is today and she values that place, so she thinks of her competitive streak as being a good thing and crucial to any future successes. Though her often apparently 'relaxed' demeanor contrasts sharply with this, Emma's opportunistic drive is a dominant trait in her personality - it's almost as crucial to her persona as her pride and sense of dignity.
Finally, she's secretive. Perhaps it's a throwback to her family life, or perhaps it's due to the heavy manipulative streak in her character and the consequential need to keep her motives quiet, but Emma prefers to keep her business her own, thank you very much.

History: Emma Frost had a trying life when she was younger. Being born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, she was one of four children born to a wealthy mercantile family. She was the third sibling to be born as well as the one who had been ignored most of her childhood. She struggled some as her brother, Christian turned to substance abuse from the pressure of the family name and trade. Upon reaching puberty though, Emma and her sisters all developed telepathic abilities that they had kept only to themselves; not revealing it to anyone else in their family.
As time went by, Emma's father has chosen her to become the heir to their family fortunes, but she had refused wanting to lead her own life and do the things she wanted to do. Emma ultimately made a good deal of moey, but most of it was from her professional success. She quickly scaled the ladder of the business world on the strength of her intelligence, drive, and personal charm, as well as the secret use of her mental powers. Emma eventually became a major stock holder in a business that mainly dealt with electronics and transportation. Despite her relative youth, she was named chairwoman of the board and chief executive officer of the rechristened Frost International.
As Emma's success grew, she had caught the attention of the Hellfire Club (an elite social organization consisting of the world's wealthiest and most powerful figures). Emma soon learned that they were hiring dancers, and used her telepathic abilities to project into their eyes that she was one of the best dancers so she was able to get the job. She also loved the fact that they had to wear lingerie all the time because she believed her revealing wardrobe to be one of many weapons in her arsenal, one that gave her an instant advantage over men. After a while, Emma and Sebastian Shaw became rather close friends, which helped Emma to get her foot in the door. After some mishaps of plans they Frost and Shaw had learned together, they staged an act to where they would rename the inner circle in which Shaw became the Black King and Frost the White Queen.
As time went on, more and more mutants began appearing. The government was beginning to learn even more about them and soon began to fear them. Emma had learned about the X-men as well as the Brotherhood. Neither of them had interested her. One fighting to destroy all non-mutant humans while the other fought to protect their rights so they could live equally amongst them. The only thing Emma cared about were her own students. The Hellions and the Stepford Cuckoos. Emma was to remain a neutral base between the two. If one came for help and if she saw fit to it, she would then decide to help them. But it would have to be for a damn good reason.
~Powers and Weapons~
Powers: Emma is a telepath of moderate power: she's able to read the thoughts of others and project her own into their minds. Emma's 'projecting' and 'reading' is usually utilized as a means of silent, private communication. In addition, she is able to implant illusions in the minds of others to whatever effect she chooses (to scare, to relax, to mentally traumatize her target as the need arises).
She can block her own mind from telepathic probes or psionic attacks, although Emma admits to a little trouble in this area and this ability doesn't hold for long under great duress. She is able to override some moderate blocks to her own probes and attacks, but not any that could be classed as being 'strong' or better.
Lastly, she is able to implant, block or entirely remove memories in the minds of others - she can remove the knowledge of another person's existence from her target's mind, or the knowledge of a place or object, something they have read and so on. This ability takes a great deal of concentration and often a long period of time to complete.
Emma has a good 'handle' on what she does, though she's hardly in the practice of restraining herself from using her power. She's well aware that she hasn't reached her full potential by way of her abilities, but she'd never admit it aloud.
Furthermore, as a consequence of continued mutation, Emma can now transform her skin and hair into a diamond-hard form at will. In this form, Emma is nigh indestructible except for one small flaw that, if exploited, can cause her to shatter. Whilst in her diamond form, Emma's telepathic abilities are suppressed.
Weapons: Emma once designed a gun-like device which she once used to exchange minds for a period of time with Storm of the X-Men.
Abilities: Emma is highly skilled in electronic theory and electronics and has learned how to build devices that can amplify psionic energy and utilize psionic energy for various effects. She devised the mechanism by which her Hellfire Club cohort Mastermind projected his illusions directly into the mind of the Phoenix Force.
Weaknesses: Emma's most vulnerable spot is her heart. There she keeps a pretty pronounced weakness in the form of her love for a person unknown, which leaves her more emotionally vulnerable than she likes being.
(I had made the person unknown because in the comic books her love is for Scott and since this is movie based, she hasn't really had contact with him just yet to fall in love with him specifically, so i am making it to be kind of like she longs for that love and it is that in which makes her vulnerable.)
SAMPLE ROLEPLAY: (200 or more words!!!)
"Excuse me, Ms. Frost. There is someone here to see you. May I send them in?" a shaky voice announced over the intercom.
Emma sat in her high-back white leather chair in her office as she faced looking out into the city below. Just another day at the office. Bored. There was a long pause before Emma answered a response. She didn't want to see anyone, she just wanted to leave and do her own thing. And her own thing was what she was going to do.
"Send them away. Tell them next time, that if they want to lay their eyes upon me that they need to make an appointment!" Emma spat back as she quickly stood from her chair and walked over to her chestnut wardrobe to grab her white fur coat. She was going to need it in this weather. Boston always had a bitter chill to the air when winter arrived. She was use to it though; considering Boston was where she was raised.
Once Emma slipped on her coat, she opened one of the oak doors to her office and walked out into the lobby. There she saw a young intern sitting in one of the blue plastic seats with a folder sitting in her lap, a heavy sling briefcase just barely staying on her shoulder and her thick black glasses sliding off the tip of her nose. When the intern spotted Emma, she pushed her glasses back up the bridge of her nose and awkwardly stood up, trying to balance her weight and the weight of her bag while holding out a hand towards Emma. With one eyebrow cocked, Emma glanced over the intern once more before turning her attention to her personal secretary.
"Jesus Lisa! Don't you listen?! Get rid of this self-pity party, fashion catastrophe or I'll get rid of you! I told you to tell her that if she wanted to see me to make an appointment. And while she's at it, send her to what J.C. Penny or something to get something decent to wear for when she wants to see me. She can afford a cheap place like that." Emma sneered as she looked at the pitiful intern just standing there in shock, mouth slightly gaped open, eyes tearing up and hand still held out. What on earth would make a girl of her standards think she could actually be able to even speak to someone like Emma? It was just at least one question that ran through Emma's mind.
"Yes Ms. Frost." replied Lisa. And with that, Emma walked straight for her personal elevator pretending like she never even laid eyes upon the intern that was waiting there for God only knows what reason. At the moment, the only thing Emma cared about was amusing herself. Maybe she would head back to the institute and mingle amongst her Hellions.
